About Role
Microsoft is offering a Software Engineering Apprenticeship designed for recent graduates from the batch of 2025. This program is for candidates with no active academic backlogs and no prior full-time employment.
As an apprentice, you will collaborate with global teams to design, develop, and test innovative software solutions. You will gain hands-on experience by applying engineering principles, learning new technologies, and contributing to real-world projects. This program emphasizes skill development through practical, on-the-job training over a 12-month period.
Responsibilities
- Apply engineering principles to solve complex problems creatively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define user requirements.
- Understand business and end-user needs for assigned programs.
- Learn and integrate new engineering methods into work processes.
- Seek feedback and adopt best practices for continuous improvement.
- Manage time effectively and deliver projects in a collaborative team environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends to enhance product performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop and test software programs (e.g., Java, Python, HTML5) with best practices in reusability and exception handling.
- Maintain documentation for code, test cases, and reusable components.
Qualifications
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred Skills:
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, operating systems)
- Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams
- Passion for problem-solving and building scalable solutions
