Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Junior Engineer - Engineering located in Chennai.

What a typical day looks like:

• Enter and maintain component data and manufacturer information & approved vendor lists in global component database.
• Create a component database for all the Electrical/Electronic & Indirect materials. Quality review of the component parameter attributes from datasheets.
• Validate MPN and provide Alternates.
• Monitor Component EOL and manage the component obsolescence. Part of a cross-functional team in implementing product component changes within the Company.
• Work closely with Engineering and materials teams to review product updates / modifications.
• Respond to Business Partner (requestor) and customer on queries relating to Component specifications.
• Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics.
• Ensure timely generation and circulation of reports / dashboards.
• Train new and existing team members on an ongoing basis on relevant tools or topics.
• Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues.
• Identify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of procurement processes.
• Prepare customized reports for analyzing and incorporating improvements in processes.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

B.E (ECE/EEE/E&I) graduate with (0-2) years of experience as a Component Engineer in Manufacturing set up, preferably in EMS industry.

Flexible to work in night shifts.

Hands on experience in the following domains:

• NPI (New Product Introduction)
• BOM (Bill of Materials) Management
• Semiconductor sourcing/Analysis
• Working knowledge of ERP, preferably BAAN
• Hands on experience in any PLM software
• Good Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word skills
• Command over oral and written skills in English
• Good analytical skills, logical thinking, coaching & mentoring skills
• Should be open for shift
