Job Overview

The Associate Programmer assists in the design and development of software solutions using foundational domain knowledge and basic business understanding. The role focuses on contributing to defined components and features under supervision while following established development, design, and quality standards.

This position involves identifying and resolving code level issues, implementing improvements, and supporting the ongoing enhancement of IQVIA platforms to meet evolving user and client needs. The engineer works closely with senior team members to deliver reliable and scalable solutions while gaining exposure to healthcare systems, integration approaches, and performance practices.

Essential Functions

• Support the design and development of software solutions using general domain knowledge and limited business experience.
• Work across different layers of the application stack, including front end interfaces and backend components.
• Investigate and troubleshoot code issues while helping improve IQVIA platforms to meet user requirements.
• Take part in reviewing functional specifications and other validation deliverables when assigned.
• Develop an initial understanding of industry practices and IQVIA specific quality standards.
• Assist with small development tasks or projects based on defined instructions and limited discretion.
• Typically suited for candidates with no prior relevant professional experience.
