Job Overview

This role defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding, with a solid understanding of the applicable business systems and requirements. You will plan, prioritize, groom and prepare the sprint backlog.

You will work closely with users, designers and engineers to shape solution features and break work into vertical stories.

Essential Functions

• Define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding, using an understanding of the relevant business systems and requirements.
• Manage the sprint backlog, including planning, prioritization, grooming and readiness.
• Work with users, designers and engineers to understand requirements and solution features, and slice work into vertical stories.
• Make sure the stories together produce usable software that meets user needs.
• Prepare parts of reports and perform data analysis using knowledge of the function's business context and developing domain experience.
• Assess and prioritize scope trade-offs as new work comes in.
• Review development work for quality and completeness.
• Manage defects effectively.
• Share status updates and manage stakeholder expectations when required.
• Contribute to product discovery work.
