About the Role
Paytm is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Operations Intern to join our Onboarding Team. This internship offers valuable exposure to HR processes, focusing on welcoming new hires, guiding them through their first day, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience. It is ideal for candidates aiming to build a strong foundation in HR operations and the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- First-Day Welcome: Greet and guide new employees, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.
- Orientation & Presentations: Assist in conducting orientation sessions, preparing materials, and facilitating presentations.
- Joining Formalities: Complete all necessary documentation and policy acknowledgments for new hires.
- Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate physical and digital employee records.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Payroll, IT, Finance, and team managers to ensure onboarding logistics are in place.
- Tracker Maintenance: Update and manage onboarding trackers for joiner status and probation timelines.
- Confidentiality Handling: Manage sensitive HR information with discretion.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest process enhancements based on feedback and observations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: MBA in HR preferred; graduation degree (BBA, BA, etc.) considered for exceptional candidates.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to interact confidently with new hires and colleagues.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace.
- Interpersonal Skills: Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to build rapport.
- Confidentiality: Proven ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Organization: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Adaptability: Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and working independently or in a team.
