Google's Consumer Hardware Silicon team develops chips optimized for Google-branded devices. Product areas include imaging, machine learning, video, and security. The team focuses on building technology that supports Google's culture of innovation while delivering reliable hardware solutions.

As a Silicon Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy consumer hardware technologies. Working within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team, you will apply engineering knowledge to evaluate solutions, analyze designs, and prototype new ideas. The role also involves working in a manufacturing-oriented development environment and coordinating with vendors and external partners to move components into production.

The ML, Systems, and Cloud AI (MSCA) organization designs and manages the hardware, software, machine learning systems, and infrastructure supporting Google services such as Search, YouTube, and Google Cloud. The team focuses on security, efficiency, and reliability while supporting hyperscale computing and platforms such as Vertex AI.

Responsibilities

• Partner with SoC teams to develop power and performance optimized chips.
• Contribute to the design, verification, and silicon implementation of ASICs and SoCs.
• Work on design concepts related to CPUs, image processing, machine learning, computer vision, security, and video technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to automate SoC design workflows.
