About The Role

We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to join our automotive car audio team. The internship offers hands-on experience in CAD design and development for automotive audio systems.

What You Will Do

• Assist in 3D/2D CAD design using CATIA V5, with a focus on surfacing, sheet metal and plastic components
• Support the design and development of car audio systems while ensuring compliance with automotive standards
• Take part in design reviews and work with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing and suppliers)
• Work on technical documentation, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), tolerance analysis and BOM (Bill of Materials) creation
• Support design optimization for cost, weight and manufacturability

What You Need to Be Successful

• Currently enrolled in, or completed, a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or a related field
• Basic understanding of CAD software (CATIA V5), mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes and GD&T
• Proficiency in CATIA V5, including surfacing, sheet metal design and assemblies, is an advantage
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment

• Strong technical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills
