Career Accelerator Program at TI

In your first year with TI, you will take part in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which offers professional and technical training to help you ramp up and build a long-term career. The program also includes function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning, so you can solve problems through hands-on work from your first day. The TMG Development program is a 12-month program for new college graduates in the TMG organization.

Role Overview

A Test Engineer at Texas Instruments is part of a team that designs, develops and implements cost-effective ways to test and troubleshoot systems and equipment. You will prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment, and write specifications and procedures for new products.

Responsibilities

• Work with the design team to understand design specifications
• Create test plans and characterization and test programs, and design ATE hardware interface boards
• Debug characterization silicon on ATE and correlate results with bench data
• Analyze silicon results and support failure analysis tasks
• Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout, debug and fix yield issues, and optimize test time
• Work with the production team to release products to volume production
• Define and implement test strategies for new products
• Handle silicon qualification and characterization, including qual hardware development
• Carry out comprehensive device debugging, design validation and failure analysis
• Drive robust, cost-effective test solutions while taking responsibility for product quality
