
As a PhD Intern, you will collaborate on applied research in computational aerodynamics, aeromechanics, and aeroacoustics for GE Aerospace commercial engine programs and technology demonstrations such as RISE (Revolutionary Innovation for Sustainable Engines).
You will work with technologists and engineers at GE Aerospace Research while partnering with business teams to support sustainability, safety, and quality goals in aerospace and defense.
This is a paid internship typically structured for about three months or until completion of the PhD thesis defense, whichever comes earlier. The internship may be extended or converted to a full-time role depending on performance, mutual interest, and program needs.
The John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru, established in 2000, is GE’s multidisciplinary research and engineering hub. Engineers and scientists at this center have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents and major advances in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
The candidate should currently be pursuing a PhD and must not have submitted the thesis.
