Site Overview

Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is GE Aerospace’s multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Teams at JFWTC have contributed to aviation patents and advancements in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.

Role Overview

  • Work across at least three rotations over two years in different disciplines and business segments, including New Products, Services Technology, Advanced Next Gen Technology, and Digital Technology.
  • Take part in technical training, mentoring, and coaching from experienced technologists and engineering leaders.
  • Participate in leadership development programs with GE members from various businesses and locations.
  • Build expertise in your chosen engineering domain while developing skills in additional technical areas.
  • Plan and execute assigned work within schedule, quality, cost, and budget requirements while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Ideal Candidate

Candidates should have a Master's background in Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal, or Aerospace engineering.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Desired Characteristics

  • Basic understanding of engineering or manufacturing fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrated academic achievement and leadership potential.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
