About the Internship
The Digital Technology Leadership Program (DTLP) Internship is a 2-month experiential learning opportunity for high-performing M.Tech students aspiring to build careers in advanced digital technology within the aerospace sector. Interns will work on impactful, real-world projects within GE Aerospace’s Digital Technology organization, collaborating with engineers, architects, and digital leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on live technical projects contributing to the design, development, or enhancement of digital solutions.
- Engage in areas such as software development, data engineering, analytics, ERP, IT operations, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and AI enablement.
- Translate functional or business requirements into technical tasks with guidance from mentors.
- Apply programming, data, and problem-solving skills to build, test, and deploy scalable and secure solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across global locations.
- Demonstrate ownership, curiosity, and a continuous learning mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a full-time M.Tech program in Computer Science or related fields (IT, Data Science, etc.).
- Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, databases, operating systems, and computer networks.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or GoLang.
- Minimum CGPA of 7.0/10.0 or equivalent.
- Expected graduation by May/June 2027.
- Willingness to be geographically mobile for the internship location.
Desired Skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with structured solution approaches.
- Experience in software development, coding projects, or prior internships.
- Familiarity with version control, testing, CI/CD, agile methodologies, and code reviews.
- Interest in cloud computing, data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams.
- Demonstrated leadership potential through academic or extracurricular activities.
