This 12-month apprenticeship under India's National Apprenticeship Training Scheme offers practical, paid work experience and learning opportunities. Please note that completion of the apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment with Deutsche Bank Group.
Role Description
- Support teams on a short-term basis to gain hands-on industry experience and exposure to banking operations.
- Work on learning assignments and contribute to entry-level business activities and projects.
- Typically suited for students in their penultimate year of a bachelor’s degree, though earlier academic stages may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and analysing reports, dashboards, and decision-making materials for risk monitoring.
- Identify areas of risk profile concern and support senior management reporting with accurate insights.
- Develop subject matter knowledge of systems and tools, and assist with process enhancements.
- Perform quality assurance checks on framework components in line with policy requirements.
- Coordinate with business teams and risk managers on reports, projects, and ad-hoc queries.
- Contribute to improving reporting processes used across various banking functions.
- Support the enhancement of Non-Financial Risk framework components.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in banking, finance, economics, or business administration.
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Exposure to MS Access and Visual Basic is beneficial.
- Attention to detail with an understanding of root cause analysis.
- Ability to work independently as well as within international teams.
- Understanding of operational risk and risk frameworks in financial institutions.
- Awareness of regulatory standards, audit-focused environments, and industry practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
