Purpose of the role
The role focuses on applying advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to extract meaningful insights from the bank's data. These insights support strategic decisions, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to innovation across the organisation.
Accountabilities
- Identify, collect and extract data from a range of internal and external sources.
- Clean, transform and prepare data to ensure accuracy and suitability for analysis.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines that support automated data collection and processing.
- Design and implement statistical and machine learning models to analyse patterns, trends and relationships.
- Build predictive models that forecast outcomes and highlight potential risks or opportunities.
- Work with business stakeholders to discover opportunities where data science can generate value.

In this position, you will help develop automated forecasting solutions that evaluate acquisition marketing investments across partners, channels, offers and customer segments. The role contributes to marketing investment optimisation decisions by using advanced analytical approaches and data platforms to forecast P&L outcomes and monitor model performance across channels and partners.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python, SAS and SQL.
- Strong understanding of statistical modelling and data analysis methods such as linear or nonlinear models, logistic regression, decision trees, cluster analysis and neural networks.
- Knowledge of forecasting techniques and cards P&L analysis.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience in credit cards or banking analytics.
- Exposure to data science, machine learning and advanced analytics methods.
- Experience using data visualisation tools.
