Role Overview

Turing is seeking skilled Data Scientists & Analysts with proficiency in Python to contribute to innovative AI projects. This role involves developing solutions for US-based companies, working on both commercial and research-focused AI applications. You will engage in coding, data analysis, bug fixing, documentation, and collaborating with researchers to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient Python code for AI model training and optimization.
• Conduct model evaluations to benchmark performance and recommend improvements.
• Assess and rank AI responses for quality and alignment with criteria.
• Document evaluation rationales with clear technical explanations.
• Lead dataset creation and management for Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT).
• Collaborate on Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF) and refine reward models.
• Develop innovative evaluation strategies to enhance model alignment and ethics.
• Create optimal AI responses prioritizing clarity, relevance, and accuracy.
• Perform peer reviews of code and documentation.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve model performance.
• Stay updated with emerging tools and methods in AI training.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and business acumen to derive insights from datasets.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Python and data analysis techniques.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Passion for contributing to advancements in artificial intelligence.

Engagement Details

• Fully remote contractor role.
• Commitment: Minimum 20 hours/week, with options for 20, 30, or 40 hours weekly.
• Overlap: At least 4 hours with Pacific Standard Time (PST).
• Contract Duration: 1 month (expected start next week).
• No medical or paid leave benefits.
