Role Overview
Turing is seeking skilled Data Scientists & Analysts with proficiency in Python to contribute to innovative AI projects. This role involves developing solutions for US-based companies, working on both commercial and research-focused AI applications. You will engage in coding, data analysis, bug fixing, documentation, and collaborating with researchers to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient Python code for AI model training and optimization.
- Conduct model evaluations to benchmark performance and recommend improvements.
- Assess and rank AI responses for quality and alignment with criteria.
- Document evaluation rationales with clear technical explanations.
- Lead dataset creation and management for Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT).
- Collaborate on Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF) and refine reward models.
- Develop innovative evaluation strategies to enhance model alignment and ethics.
- Create optimal AI responses prioritizing clarity, relevance, and accuracy.
- Perform peer reviews of code and documentation.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve model performance.
- Stay updated with emerging tools and methods in AI training.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical and business acumen to derive insights from datasets.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Python and data analysis techniques.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Passion for contributing to advancements in artificial intelligence.
Engagement Details
- Fully remote contractor role.
- Commitment: Minimum 20 hours/week, with options for 20, 30, or 40 hours weekly.
- Overlap: At least 4 hours with Pacific Standard Time (PST).
- Contract Duration: 1 month (expected start next week).
