About the Role
The EDO Sustainable1 Data Operations team at S&P Global is a global, project-focused group dedicated to managing sustainability data. The team maintains one of the most comprehensive datasets on corporate sustainability, supporting investors, corporations, and other stakeholders with ESG insights.
Working in a collaborative and agile environment, the team contributes to the development of sustainability indices and benchmarking methodologies used by global clients.
The Impact
As part of the ESG team, you will help build and maintain accurate, complete, and timely datasets. The role involves supporting the integrity and coverage of sustainability data using internal tools and publicly available sources such as government and regulatory documents, stock exchange filings, CSR reports, industry journals, analyst reports, and research databases.
Role and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely environmental datasets while considering internal and external business requirements.
- Work with team members and management on initiatives related to Trucost and ESG data operations.
- Collect, standardize, and validate information on company relationships, competitors, products, and services from publicly available reports.
- Meet defined individual and team targets while maintaining high quality standards.
- Operate within defined processes and supervision to ensure performance aligns with set standards.
- Stay updated on content sets, industry developments, and reporting standards.
- Provide ideas for improving data collection methods and enhancing products or processes.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide support to the team when required.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or Environmental Science.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and interpretation abilities.
- Ability to multitask and collaborate in a team environment while meeting deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication along with solid computer skills.
- Experience with internet-based research and Microsoft Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in research with strong attention to detail and investigative mindset.
- Ability to manage priorities and deliver work within tight timelines.
- Professional approach when interacting with different stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL, and database management is preferred.
- Ability to take initiative and demonstrate resourcefulness in daily tasks.
