Job Description
The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 position is an intermediate-level role responsible for processing orders and transactions that originate from trading desks and branch offices. This work is done in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The primary objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities
- Process securities transactions, provide analytical input for traders, and assist in the review of derivative products.
- Identify and resolve securities and derivative settlement issues, and provide recommendations to leadership for process improvements.
- Analyze moderately complex reports to meet management requirements, support control activities, and contribute to the launch of new product services.
- Monitor and propose solutions for errors to minimize risk to the bank, leveraging an intermediate understanding of procedural requirements.
- Escalate transaction processing issues to the relevant department and collaborate on finding solutions.
- Design and analyze moderately complex reports, in line with standards set by direct leadership.
- Assist with control activities and the introduction of new products and services.
- Ensure that all processes adhere to audit and control policies.
- Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This involves driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- A fundamental understanding of Treasury products, accounting, and regulatory policies.
- Proven ability to manage various concurrent activities or projects within a high-risk environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of macros.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
