Role Overview

The Citi Apprentice is an entry-level position designed to build a solid foundation of knowledge and training. Apprentices gain real-world work experience and contribute as valued members of their teams, while developing essential skills in a dynamic financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Apprentices perform a variety of tasks under direct supervision, mainly routine operations and administrative support. Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out basic, routine tasks and assignments with detailed procedural guidance.
• Applying knowledge of routine work area procedures to complete standardized activities.
• Exchanging basic information with co-workers and contributing to team communication.
• Resolving task-related problems in straightforward situations, choosing from clearly defined options.
• Assisting with operational and administrative functions of low to moderate complexity.
• Providing administrative support, such as copying, printing, document transport, and materials checking and receiving.
• Performing basic computer activities as required.
• Servicing a very limited number of products and/or services.
• Assessing risk appropriately when making business decisions, with attention to the firm's reputation and to safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, following Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues transparently.
