The team aims to ensure successful software solution implementation, maximize the value of customer investments, and address important business needs. This approach enables stronger engagement with customers while delivering services effectively.
You will collaborate with experienced software engineers and architects while building software and tools that support technology platforms, infrastructure, SaaS applications, and databases within a cloud native environment.
Your Impact
Cisco is looking for engineers who can work across its software defined and automation portfolios. The role requires a solid understanding of software defined technologies, automation practices, and modern software development methodologies.
You will support large service provider and enterprise customers. The work includes engaging with customers and their technical leads to plan and execute IT transformation initiatives. Responsibilities range from early requirement gathering to delivering and implementing solutions.
The position also involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, collaborating across teams, and contributing to successful outcomes for both Cisco and its customers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Recent graduate or currently in the final year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree program.
- This opportunity is intended for candidates graduating in 2027.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering concepts.
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, object oriented design, and programming.
- Experience with Unix or Linux systems and shell scripting.
- Understanding of cloud based application development using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services, with attention to security and scalability.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, Scala, or Go.
- Experience working with more than one development environment and strong familiarity with at least one.
