Purpose of the Role
Support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business functions with processing, reporting, reviewing, trading, and issue resolution tasks.
- Work with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
- Identify improvement opportunities and recommend operational enhancements.
- Develop and implement procedures and controls to reduce risks and improve operational efficiency.
- Create reports and presentations on operational performance for internal stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends and adopt best practices within banking operations.
- Participate in projects and initiatives focused on operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Analyst Expectations
- Execute responsibilities according to defined procedures and collaborate with related teams.
- Review team deliverables to ensure stakeholder and internal requirements are met.
- Provide specialist guidance related to the assigned work area.

Role Overview
As a Team Support Specialist, you will manage operational activities within the business area, support risk management initiatives, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and controls. The role includes supporting daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and month-end reconciliation activities.
- Ensure SLAs are achieved within defined timelines.
- Handle daily reconciliations and breaks management activities.
- Maintain adherence to AO&R Policy and GL Controls Framework.
- Perform journal processing and risk reporting according to SOPs and ALPs.
- Prepare reconciliation templates and coordinate with stakeholders for issue resolution.
- Support reconciliation and management information activities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable procedures, policies, and controls.
- Process customer adjustments and settlements within timelines.
- Collate and analyse financial information from reports and systems.
- Support change initiatives and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with SOX and OR controls.
- Conduct conference calls and manage customer expectations.
- Identify improvement opportunities to enhance customer service and operational practices.
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of reconciliation processes.
- Knowledge of the card industry is an advantage.
- Familiarity with the trade lifecycle.
- Experience using tools such as SAP and Intellimatch.
- Ability to manage deadlines accurately and efficiently.
- Strong coordination and communication capabilities.
Qualifications
B.Com degree, MBA in Finance, postgraduate qualification, CA Inter, or relevant experience in the finance and accounting domain, preferably in reconciliations.
