Job Description

This role provides administrative, analytical, and operational support to trading teams. The analyst assists traders so they can concentrate on market analysis, trade execution, and risk management activities.

Purpose of the Role

Support traders by handling operational and reporting tasks, monitoring activities, and assisting with risk and compliance processes related to trading operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, validate, and process orders from traders while ensuring accuracy and compliance with trading guidelines. Monitor order status and communicate updates with traders and counterparties.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot trading platform issues, connectivity challenges, and application errors. Work with IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.
• Assist traders in monitoring market, credit, and operational risks, including preparation and maintenance of reports related to trading exposure and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain the bank's trading calendar and ensure traders are informed about market events, economic data releases, and regulatory updates.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential opportunities and support trading strategies. Prepare reports and presentations for traders and senior stakeholders.
• Perform due diligence on counterparties, validate trading credentials, and monitor trading activity for possible compliance breaches or suspicious transactions.

Required Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to collaborate across reporting teams in multiple locations.
• Good presentation abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of balance sheet structures and finance processes.
• Knowledge of control and governance frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting the implementation of control frameworks.
• Familiarity with treasury or risk systems used within banking environments.
• Prior reporting experience within a bank or financial institution.
