Job Description

The role focuses on designing, developing, and executing testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience. The position works closely with cross functional teams to identify and resolve defects while improving testing processes and methodologies to maintain software quality and reliability.

Purpose of the Role

Design and implement testing strategies that ensure applications meet required standards of functionality and performance. The role involves collaboration with development and product teams to ensure quality throughout the software lifecycle.

Accountabilities

• Develop and implement detailed test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools to detect defects and quality issues early.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to analyse requirements, participate in design discussions, and help define acceptance criteria.
• Perform root cause analysis for defects and work closely with developers to support resolution.
• Participate in peer collaboration and code reviews to support strong code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with technology trends and contribute to internal technology communities to support technical growth.

Basic / Essential Qualifications

• Knowledge of automation frameworks.
• Ability to perform manual testing when required.
• Understanding of FIX Protocol, including FIX 4.2 and 4.4.
• Proficiency in Unix, including debugging logs and executing Unix commands.
• Bachelor's degree.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of Java and automation frameworks.
• Experience communicating directly with business analysts, developers, and business users.
• Ability to handle large project testing activities including test plans, execution reports, and evidence collection.
