Job Description
Purpose of the Role
The role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks related to prudential regulatory reporting. It involves overseeing regulatory reporting processes and maintaining communication with regulatory authorities to ensure the bank’s activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal control policies.
Accountabilities
- Identify and assess prudential regulatory reporting risks linked to the bank’s activities, products, and services, and develop strategies to address them while ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and internal control policies.
- Conduct compliance reviews and audits to detect potential gaps or violations and take corrective actions where necessary.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal control processes and governance frameworks, and implement improvements to reduce the risk of regulatory reporting non‑compliance.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to relevant authorities, while supporting other teams with the preparation and review of regulatory reporting.
- Analyze regulatory data to identify trends, provide insights into business performance, and assist in decision‑making.
- Design and deliver training sessions to educate employees on regulatory requirements and their compliance responsibilities.
- Maintain communication with regulatory bodies, respond to queries promptly, and represent the bank during discussions or meetings with regulators.
- Support the selection, implementation, and maintenance of regulatory reporting systems, working closely with IT teams to integrate these systems with enterprise platforms.

- Take responsibility for operational outcomes and the processing activities managed by the team.
- Escalate policy or procedure breaches appropriately and support the adoption of updated processes introduced for risk mitigation.
- Provide input that supports decision‑making within the assigned area of expertise.
- Manage risk effectively and strengthen internal controls for all assigned tasks.
- Develop knowledge of how the sub‑function integrates with the wider organization, including products, services, and operational processes.
- Understand how different teams coordinate to meet organizational objectives.
- Make sound judgments based on factual analysis and attention to detail.
- Resolve problems using technical experience and established precedents.
- Communicate complex or sensitive information and guide team members where required.
- Act as a contact point for stakeholders outside the immediate function and build professional networks across teams and external partners.
Required Knowledge
Experience with internal control procedures, regulatory reporting processes, and regulatory frameworks including Basel I, Basel II, and Basel III reporting (Pillar I and Pillar II). Familiarity with COREP reporting, regulatory control matrices, large exposure calculations, and leverage ratio requirements is expected.
Additional Skills
Knowledge of regulatory compliance practices, regulatory techniques, and regulatory systems is considered beneficial.
