Global Business Services
Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations. Job Description
The Global Technology division manages the critical systems and platforms that form the backbone of the company's retail, commercial and institutional businesses, as well as key support functions globally. Teams develop and deploy technologies across mobile and online banking, payments processing, technology infrastructure, cyber-security, risk and capital management and enterprise data management.
Global Technology teams focus on immersive technology, including virtual reality, artificial intelligence and practice simulations. You will use leading technology solutions and integrated platforms so that customers and clients can bank with us anytime, anywhere.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will ensure that software meets functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and that solutions are well designed with maintainability, ease of integration and testing built in from the outset. Key tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Gathering and translating internal and external client requirements into technical design specifications and business process re-engineering
- Coding solutions and unit tests, and ensuring they integrate successfully into internal banking applications and systems with clear, robust and well-tested interfaces
- Participating in and contributing to CI/CD delivery and release events, including branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution and release notes
Documenting models and findings, and supporting data collation and processing for development and delivery.
Performing proof of concept work to implement new ideas or mitigate risk.
Ensuring execution and delivery meet technology expectations for functionality, quality, performance, reliability and timelines.
Working with global development teams and business partners across APAC, EMEA and AMRS, translating business and functional requirements for banking, trading and markets.
Identifying, escalating and resolving incidents and issues.
Foundational Skills
Hands-on engagement in the full software lifecycle is expected, including requirements analysis, coding, testing and deployment. Strong knowledge of industry development and testing practices and of design patterns for complex applications is important.
- Fundamental knowledge of programming languages, data visualization tools, application frameworks, distributed systems and databases
- Basic proficiency in at least one of: Java, C#/.NET, C++, Python
- Experience with Agile methodology, process improvement, Excel and JIRA, with knowledge of Linux/Unix
- Ability to handle ambiguity, varied work assignments and changing priorities
- Strong influencing skills, both vertically and horizontally
- Assertiveness, initiative, a strong work ethic and a team attitude
- Clear written and oral communication
