About the Role
This role is within the Tax Utility solution, part of S&P Global Tax Solution offerings. Tax Utility provides a mechanism for exchanging and sharing required tax documentation for clients (Buyside's and Sell side). Subscribers gain access to a platform offering thousands of pre-validated tax packages, including professionally verified tax certifications, validation summary reports, and supporting legal documents. The team facilitates onboarding tax documentation according to IRS guidelines, client permissions, and identifies refresh populations.
Impact of the Role
- Tax Utility offers direct use of a searchable repository of pre-validated tax form packages, leading to significant time savings.
- It provides enhanced management over form expirations and the ability to automatically validate existing tax form data and profiles, allowing for seamless validation and rapid processing without manual intervention. This includes automated workflows and dashboards for managing remediations.
- The utility addresses all outreach, validation, and monitoring needs related to actionable Tax Utility (TU) items, covering onboarding, outreach, validation, and monitoring processes.

- Develop an understanding and expertise in the Regulatory and Compliance space, particularly FATCA and CRS, for both buyside and sell-side platforms.
- Provide proactive operational support to ensure clients receive premier service regarding subscriber tax reporting, client support, and client projects, exploring opportunities for operational efficiencies.
- Gain experience working on a live client platform and learn about different work dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, handling day-to-day account review processes and urgent escalations professionally and promptly.
- Provide subject matter expertise on client and team inquiries regarding applicable statutes, tax authority guidance, and general industry approaches.
- Address tax compliance and remediation requests with clients and/or their account holders in accordance with IRS regulations and Outsourcing protocol to eliminate audit exposure.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting withholding and reporting requirements.
- Become highly skilled in understanding and maintaining operational processes, including assisting peers and leadership with creating SOPs, UAT testing, and implementing quality control reviews for BAU activities.
- Build relationships with all key internal and external clients.
- Maintain SLAs and work quality by delivering client ad-hoc requests within specified timelines.
- Work with business partners to validate the integrity of data and documents maintained for all Regulatory and Compliance platforms.
- Support clients (buyside and sell-side firms) with product requirements, including account and user access setup, report generation, outreaches, client calls, and assisting with tax documents that failed validation.
