About the Role
American Express is seeking an Apprentice - Product Management & Quality Excellence for a 12-month hybrid contractual position based in Gurgaon, Haryana. This role offers an opportunity to work within a global fintech leader, contributing to the development and delivery of innovative digital business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in defining and managing product goals, roadmaps, and feature requirements aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct customer research, market analysis, and competitor benchmarking to inform product and testing strategies.
- Prepare and maintain Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, analytics, and compliance teams to ensure smooth delivery of solutions.
- Create, review, and execute test cases; participate in functional and regression testing.
- Log and track defects using tools like JIRA and TestRail, ensuring timely resolution.
- Support automation testing, environment readiness, and test data management.
- Monitor KPIs, feature adoption, and product quality metrics.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvements while ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.), BCA, or B.Sc. in Computer Science/Information Technology.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and software testing fundamentals (SDLC/STLC).
- Knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, SQL, Python, or Postman is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Learning & Growth Opportunities
- Exposure to end-to-end product lifecycle management and testing processes.
- Hands-on experience in requirement management, testing, data analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
- Understanding of agile delivery, quality assurance, and customer experience frameworks.
- Preparation for future roles such as Business Analyst, Product Associate, QA Engineer, or Product Owner.
