Job Overview
Alcon is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our software engineering team in Bangalore. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the modernization of software requirements and test cases, while gaining hands-on experience in tools, processes, and engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and update legacy software requirements and test cases to modern standards.
- Create traceable links between requirements, test cases, and implementation artifacts.
- Utilize tools such as Azure DevOps and Polarion for project tracking and documentation.
- Apply Python scripting to support automation and tooling needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and maintain traceability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and requirement management.
- Knowledge of Python scripting or other scripting languages.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps and Polarion is advantageous.
- Strong analytical thinking and effective communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and progress into advanced engineering roles.
- Fundamental knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
