Quality Auditing Associate

This role supports the First Article Inspection (FAI) team across regions to plan, schedule, prioritize, review, and deliver all FAIs required for sustaining parts and development projects. The position also focuses on validating production processes and confirming that the first run of a part or product meets design specifications and customer requirements.

The associate reviews FAI documentation, standards, and approval processes. Products and materials must meet defined quality standards and industry requirements. The role includes performing First Article Inspection assessments according to AS9102 to verify customer specifications.

You will coordinate with client stakeholders and escalation points, and work with Supplier Quality and Development managers to implement action plans created through structured problem solving. Responsibilities also include maintaining workflow coordination, ensuring effective throughput, and prioritizing work to meet process turnaround time metrics.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with the First Article Inspection team to manage and deliver required FAI activities.
• Review production processes and confirm compliance with design and customer requirements.
• Assess and verify FAI packages following AS9102 standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and client stakeholders to address issues and escalations.
• Support supplier quality initiatives and follow action plans to resolve quality concerns.
• Track workflow and maintain process turnaround time targets.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Understanding of Aerospace and Defense fundamentals and aerospace quality management standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and inspection reports.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Exposure to structuring or reviewing First Article Inspection packages as per AS9102.
• Awareness of manufacturing inspection processes and hand measuring tools.
