This hackathon is a direct gateway for top-tier women engineers to secure a full-time role as a 2026 BNY Early Talent Analyst Trainee (Software Engineer). The role offers a Total Annual CTC of INR 22,00,000.

BNY Code Divas at a Glance

What is the BNY Analyst Trainee Program?

The BNY Analyst Trainee Program is a 12-month entry-level initiative. It is designed to groom high-potential tech talent.

As a trainee joining in August 2026, you will:

• Work in an agile environment focused on architecture, design, and automation.
• Get hands-on mentorship from corporate leaders and peer mentors.
• Build robust, scalable software solutions for a bank that oversees more than $50 trillion in assets globally.

Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?

Review these requirements to see if your profile matches BNY’s criteria:

• Graduation Year: Must be from the 2026 passing out batch.
• Degree: B.E. or B.Tech (or dual degree).
• Eligible Branches: Computer Science, IT, Circuit Branches, and CS-related courses.
• Academic Score: A minimum CGPA of 7 (or 70% and above) consistently across 10th, 12th, UG, and current degree.
• Backlogs: You must have zero active or standing backlogs.
• Important Regulatory Rule: Applicants must not be previously registered on the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) portal. Prior registration makes you ineligible.

Hackathon Format and Syllabus

The Code Divas challenge tests your agility, core fundamentals, and coding prowess across multiple stages.

Round 1: The Passionate Programmer

The opening round filters candidates based on programming logic and execution.

• Task: Solve 3 Programming Questions.
• Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• Language: Any programming language of your choice.
• Note: A functional webcam is mandatory, and you must allow browser pop-ups.

Tech-It-Out with BNY Leaders

Candidates who cleared Round 1 were invited to an exclusive, deep-dive session with BNY technology leaders to prepare them for the final stages.

Round 2: The 10X Engineer (Invite Only)

This round tests specific language proficiency and core software engineering fundamentals.

• 10 MCQs: Expect questions on data structures, algorithms, and CS fundamentals.
• 1 SQL Question: Testing your database management skills.
• 1 Programming Question: This must be solved strictly in Java 8 (and above) OR Python.

Prizes and Rewards

Winning the hackathon gives you more than just a job interview opportunity. The top coders took home significant rewards:

• March 14 – 15: Round 1 Participation (The 48-hour coding window).
• March 17: Round 1 Shortlist Announcement.
• March 18: Tech-it-out deep dive session.
• March 21 – 22: Round 2 Final Participation.
• March 25: Results Announcement.
• March 27 Onwards: Final Interview Rounds began.
• March 31: Final day for general registration (closed).

How to Register for BNY Code Divas

The registration process is free and hosted on the official Mercer | Mettl platform. Here were the steps:

1. Head to the official registration page and click “Login with Register”.
2. Enter your full name and primary email address.
3. Check your email inbox for an authentication link to create a secure password.
4. Log in with your new credentials and click the “Register Now” button.
5. Fill out your academic and personal details accurately.
6. Hit submit! You will receive an acknowledgment email.
7. Wait for approval: The event admin will review your profile, and your final status will be communicated before Round 1 begins.
