Volvo Hiring Graduate Apprentice Trainee - Quality, Hosakote

About the NATS Program

This role is offered under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), a flagship initiative of the Government of India that builds practical, trade-specific skills for Indian youth. It runs under the Apprentices Act, 1961 (amended in 1973) and gives engineering graduates and diploma holders a structured one-year, hands-on On-the-Job Training (OJT) opportunity at Volvo Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and record quality issues daily, and raise quality alerts.
• Conduct quality audits and identify areas for improvement.
• Generate quality notifications and work with Line QC to log quality issues.
• Share weekly and monthly quality data with the manager.
• Lead joint quality review meetings with stakeholders.
• Address quality issues in supplier parts on the production line.
• Support root cause analysis of assembly issues in supplier parts and stock verification.
• Follow up with suppliers on corrections, corrective actions and preventive actions.
• Obtain RCA and 8D reports from suppliers.
• Work closely with the SQE to improve the quality of delivered parts.
• Verify supplier reports and check part reports against drawing requirements.
