About the NATS Program

This role is offered under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), a flagship initiative of the Government of India that builds practical, trade-specific skills for Indian youth. It runs under the Apprentices Act, 1961 (amended in 1973). At Volvo Group, the program offers engineering graduates and diploma holders a structured, one-year hands-on On-the-Job Training (OJT) opportunity to build industry-ready capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Plant absenteeism management: prepare and present daily absenteeism reports and support, working with all stakeholders to keep people availability at 100%.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and induction of fixed term employees and graduate apprentice trainees.
• Contract labour management, including recruitment, onboarding, induction and attendance (biometric and monthly reports), statutory compliance, dashboard preparation, job rotation and awareness activities.
• Coordinate NTTF training for land contributor trainees.
• Support the development of employee relations policy.
• Support salary and wage administration, including preparing monthly payroll inputs.
• Support employee initiatives and welfare activities such as birthday celebrations, transportation, family day, sports day, Ayudha Pooja and Karnataka Rajyotsava.
• Support industrial visits, internship and project trainees.

Preferred Skills

Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Power BI are preferred.
