This opportunity is offered under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), giving engineering graduates the chance to gain practical industry exposure while working on real-world projects alongside experienced engineers.
Key Skills and Knowledge Areas
- Strong understanding of automobile or mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Familiarity with CAE tools such as ANSA, Altair HyperWorks, or Nastran is an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Clear communication and ability to work effectively in teams
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support simulation-related activities within the assigned engineering team
- Assist in developing and updating CAE models, performing analysis, and preparing reports
- Work with cross-functional teams on product and process improvement initiatives
- Learn and follow Volvo engineering standards and internal procedures
- Participate in technical discussions, data analysis, and documentation
- Provide support for ongoing engineering and manufacturing activities as part of the apprenticeship learning process
The apprenticeship duration will follow the guidelines defined under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS).
