Apprenticeship Opportunity
Volvo Group invites fresh engineering graduates to participate in the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). The program provides practical industry exposure and the opportunity to contribute to real projects alongside experienced professionals.
Participants work closely with engineering and sustainability teams, gaining hands-on experience while learning established engineering practices and standards used within the organization.
Key Skills and Knowledge Areas
- Strong fundamentals in material science including metals, polymers, and chemicals
- Understanding of sustainability concepts and environmental considerations
- Familiarity with PLM tools is beneficial
- Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Advanced Excel capabilities including pivot tables and macros, Power BI knowledge is desirable
- Analytical thinking and structured problem solving
- Clear communication and collaborative teamwork
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist the sustainability team with Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) activities for target truck programs
- Support the preparation of carbon mitigation roadmaps and related idea generation
- Contribute to mitigation planning related to PFAS, heavy metals, and other substances of concern
- Assist with End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) related calculations
- Learn and follow Volvo engineering standards and internal procedures
- Participate in technical reviews, data analysis, and preparation of reports
