Job Description

This position is part of TI’s Advanced Technology Development (ATD) Mask Technology and Pattern Generation (MTPG) team. The primary responsibilities for this role may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and expertise. These responsibilities could include designing and developing new software tools, scripts, and interfaces for use in the Pattern Generation (PG) process. The engineer will also participate in coordinated efforts within the ATD-MTPG team to ensure consistent application of methodologies and best practices. Additionally, the role involves helping to implement and drive efficiency improvements and changes in these methodologies.

Basic Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field is required.
• The engineer must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in software development is essential for this role.
• We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who can balance multiple critical path and time-sensitive jobs on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the basics of semiconductor mask design and general knowledge about the use of masks in the manufacture of semiconductor devices.
• Experience and proficiency in the following areas are also preferred: Cadence design environment (schematic & layout); advanced programming experience with PERL, Ruby, Oracle, and Unix Shell.
