Job Description
State Street is hiring apprentices to join the Global Accounting Operations (GAO) team in Bangalore, India. The position lies within the Specialized Accounting function of the Controllership division under Finance. This is a high-impact opportunity for candidates interested in finance transformation, accounting operations, and business process optimization.
The role focuses on accounting and reporting processes related to Non-Hedging FX Derivatives, and involves regular support in financial close cycles and regulatory reporting (SEC & REG). The apprentice will also actively contribute to process automation, standardization, and reengineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Business As Usual (BAU) operations for Non-Hedging FX Derivatives, Loans, Repo / Reverse Repo.
- Assist in the monthly financial close processes.
- Involve in SEC and REG reporting support activities.
- Contribute to process design, optimization, and automation projects.
- Work with internal teams to drive improvements and reduce manual touchpoints.
- Help implement control enhancements and drive operational efficiency across accounting functions.

Microsoft Excel , Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, Macros, Tableau, Spotfire, Data Analytics, Visualization Tools, BI Tools, Accounting Software
Educational Qualifications
- MBA, Law graduates (LLB/LLM), or Non-IT Engineering graduates.
- Coursework in basic accounting is expected.
- Background in programming or business intelligence tools is preferred.
