About the Role
Cisco's Data Center Business Unit is seeking talented and passionate Software Engineers to join our innovative team. This role offers the chance to work on groundbreaking Ethernet Switching products designed for AI, cloud computing, and enterprise environments. You will gain exposure to a wide range of core Ethernet technologies and contribute to developing solutions for both public and private cloud infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop system software for Ethernet switch products.
- Create SDKs for next-generation, feature-rich network ASICs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Hardware, ASIC, Marketing, and Testing to bring products to market.
- Work closely with distinguished and principal engineers focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (BSEE/CS).
- 0-2 years of related experience.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Experience with network programming and protocols.
- Knowledge of networking technologies such as L2, L3, VXLAN, MPLS, ACL, and QoS.
- Understanding of operating systems and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience in switch/router software development.
- Experience developing SDKs for custom or merchant ASICs is a plus.
