About the Role

SingleStore Software Engineers work on real-time technologies that help companies operate and analyze data efficiently. Engineering teams ship frequent releases and operate in a fast-paced production environment, collaborating across teams to deliver impactful solutions.

As a Software Engineer, you will take ownership of projects from design through delivery and contribute throughout the product lifecycle. You will work closely with experienced engineers who support your technical growth while collaborating with product, marketing, and sales teams to understand how the platform supports the business.

Role and Responsibilities

Engineers work in small, collaborative teams to build and improve components of the SingleStore database platform. Projects may involve exploring technologies such as LLMs and vector indexing, improving cluster fault tolerance, optimizing SQL query performance using techniques like SIMD and LLVM code generation, or developing search and costing modules for the query optimizer.

Engineers contribute to both new initiatives and existing systems that are released into production regularly. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and testing software while gaining a deeper understanding of both the product and its real-world use cases.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including operating systems, concurrency, multithreading, and server architecture
• Proficiency in programming with C++ or C
• Solid knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Interest in building reliable and high-performance software systems
