Software Engineer (C/C++ Embedded) at L&TMumbai | 0-2 Yrs

Role Overview

The Software Engineer will contribute to the development of software for Land Systems within the D&DC group. The role involves working with embedded and distributed systems, building tools, and supporting software debugging and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop software primarily using C and C++ in complex system environments.
• Work with operating system concepts and platforms such as Linux, VxWorks, and QNX.
• Implement and maintain programs in multi-threaded and multi-process environments.
• Design and create tools that accelerate software development, testing, and debugging.
• Investigate and resolve issues reported from customer deployments.
• Analyze system scalability and interworking challenges, performing root cause analysis when required.
• Design and implement built-in diagnostics and test code to improve system reliability and maintainability.
• Support development of distributed architecture systems that communicate through various interfaces.

Technical Exposure

• Work with communication interfaces such as Serial, Ethernet, 1553, CAN, NMEA, and ModBus.
• Understand networking fundamentals including IP protocols, VLANs, and Ethernet switching.
• Develop and integrate software components within large and complex systems.
• Use tools such as Linux environments and Jira during development and issue tracking.
