About the Role
Autodesk is seeking a passionate Software Development Engineer I to join its AI, Data & Automation (AIDA) team within Engineering & DevOps Services (EDS). This team is driving the enterprise-wide AI strategy by building and operationalizing the Enterprise AI Fabric, enabling intelligent search, LLM-powered workflows, and AI-driven agents across Autodesk.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement AI Agent Frameworks for enterprise-scale applications.
- Integrate and experiment with multiple Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve real-world problems.
- Assist in operationalizing AI platforms with emphasis on scalability, reliability, and governance.
- Extend Model Context Protocols (MCPs) to standardize AI interactions across systems.
- Develop AI-enabled search solutions, including retrieval, ranking, semantic search, vector databases, and RAG pipelines.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with peers and senior engineers to deliver platform features and enhance developer experience.
- Stay updated with emerging AI frameworks, tools, and technologies, and share knowledge with the team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, Agents, and/or MCPs through internships, academic projects, hackathons, or open-source contributions.
- Exposure to AI-enabled search technologies like vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS), RAG pipelines, and semantic search.
- Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Haystack.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Basic understanding of containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and eagerness to learn emerging AI technologies.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-agent systems and orchestration of LLM-enabled actions.
- Knowledge of AI governance, observability, and monitoring practices.
- Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation optimizations and hybrid search techniques.
- Contributions to open-source AI projects, Kaggle competitions, or AI/ML research.
- Understanding of trusted AI principles including fairness, privacy, compliance, and safety.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: ₹8-12 LPA, based on experience and location. In addition to base pay, Autodesk offers annual bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
