Software Development Engineer – Identity & Access Management
Autodesk is looking for an early-career Software Development Engineer to join the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. The team develops and maintains secure, scalable identity services that support millions of users across desktop, mobile, web applications, and cloud services.
This position provides exposure to modern cloud technologies and the opportunity to contribute to backend systems that power Autodesk products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cloud-based software services in an Agile environment.
- Support backend, frontend, DevOps, and quality engineering tasks.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance production systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product managers to design and implement solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Take part in code reviews, sprint planning, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
- Apply engineering best practices related to scalability, performance, security, and reliability.
- Improve existing systems by identifying issues and implementing enhancements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 0 to 1 year of software development experience, including internships or academic projects.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, databases, and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C#, Go, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and client-server architecture.
- Interest in learning cloud technologies and DevOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or project experience building web applications, backend services, or APIs.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and debugging tools.
- Basic understanding of authentication, authorization, IAM, or application security concepts.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and collaborate within engineering teams.
