About the Role
Autodesk is seeking an entry-level Software Development Engineer – Process Automation to join the Engineering & DevOps Services (EDS) team within AI, Data & Automation (AIDA). This team is responsible for building, operating, and scaling workflow-driven process automations that enable reliable and repeatable execution of enterprise business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows using n8n and Microsoft Power Automate.
- Develop Python-based AWS Lambda functions to implement automation logic, data transformations, and integrations.
- Integrate workflows with internal and external systems using RESTful APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
- Deploy and manage automation services leveraging AWS-native patterns and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor executions, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents efficiently.
- Write clean, testable Python code following established engineering standards.
- Manage configurations and parameters using JSON and YAML formats.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to embed automation into business processes.
- Ensure compliance with governance, security, and responsible-use guidelines.
- Continuously research and adopt new tools, patterns, and best practices in automation.
Minimum Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in software development, scripting, or automation engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Hands-on experience with workflow automation platforms such as n8n or Microsoft Power Automate.
- Experience working with JSON and/or YAML configuration files.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
