Job Description

Siemens Gamesa, a global leader in wind turbine manufacturing and part of Siemens Energy, is offering an exciting internship opportunity for students interested in AI/ML and process automation. The selected intern will work closely with Fabrication specialists, FEA, and Design teams to automate and streamline engineering workflows using Excel and AI/ML techniques.

This role is ideal for students passionate about innovation, sustainability, and cutting-edge renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manual workflows in fabrication and transform them into automated processes.
• Utilize Excel-based tools to create initial automation frameworks.
• Apply AI/ML models to improve operational speed and accuracy in fabrication reviews.
• Reduce multi-day fabrication review tasks to approximately two hours.
• Collaborate with FEA and Design teams for data-driven improvements and feedback.
• Conduct independent analysis using student-version engineering software.
• Maintain transparent communication and provide updates on progress and understanding of tasks.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or integrated Master's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Eligible Batches: 2025, 2026 (ongoing graduation years).
• Strong academic foundation (minimum 4+2 years academic exposure in engineering coursework).
• Passionate about automation, AI/ML applications, and process innovation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to understand instructions and provide clear, consistent feedback.
