About the Role
Join the Enterprise Data Organization at S&P Global as a Data Analyst, working alongside a team of 70 professionals across Penang, the US, and our Maritime Operations cluster. This role involves research, validation, and updating of trade data to support data integration and migration projects, aligning maritime and trade datasets to a new platform for enhanced customer insights.
The Impact
As part of this team, you will contribute to the transformation of maritime and trade datasets, collaborating with data transformation colleagues to deliver critical insights that power global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis of maritime and trade-related datasets, including ships, companies, ownerships, compliances, sanctions, ports, trade, and bills of lading.
- Update and maintain datasets based on research findings.
- Collaborate with regional experts to validate data accuracy.
- Capture and validate data from primary and newly acquired sources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent).
- 0–6 months of relevant work experience.
- Keen interest in the maritime industry.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.
