About the Role
This position supports the collection, analysis, validation, and maintenance of high‑quality datasets derived from Private Equity and alternative investment documents. The work contributes to accurate, timely, and comprehensive market data used by global clients for benchmarking and decision making.
The role is suited for early‑career professionals interested in building expertise in Private Equity data, financial statements, and fund structures while developing analytical and automation capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Process and review financial documents from General and Limited Partners, including capital calls, distributions, financial statements, and investment schedules.
- Access GP portals and repositories to download, organize, and tag fund-related documents with appropriate metadata.
- Extract, standardize, and validate information from Private Equity documentation such as partners’ capital account statements, cash flow statements, and investment schedules.
- Classify accounting data elements related to fund-level investments and portfolio companies.
- Perform data quality checks, resolve issues identified through manual QC reviews or automated validation logs, and ensure compliance with data standards.
- Produce routine reports and carry out basic trend analysis to support internal analytics.
- Participate in data cleansing initiatives to improve dataset accuracy and consistency.
- Assist with process improvement, Lean initiatives, and automation activities, including basic SQL-based tasks.
- Maintain documentation of data collection and validation workflows for audit and reference purposes.
- Collaborate with team members to meet individual and team delivery targets while maintaining high data quality.
- Support ad-hoc projects related to business expansion, data enhancement, or automation initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
Domain Knowledge
- Understanding of Private Equity, Real Estate, or alternative investment operations and investor reporting concepts is preferred.
- General familiarity with capital markets and alternative investments is advantageous.
Qualifications and Experience
- Postgraduate degree in Finance, Data Analytics, or a related discipline (MBA Finance, PGDM, or equivalent preferred).
- 0–1 year of experience in fund administration, private equity operations, or financial data processing.
- Experience with MS Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and Python, familiarity with BI tools is beneficial.
- Exposure to automation approaches, Lean methodologies, or GenAI tools is a plus.
- Understanding of fundamental accounting principles such as GAAP.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and manage tasks within tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work global shifts and extended hours during peak reporting periods.
Work Schedule
This position operates within a global service delivery model. Rotational shifts aligned with Asia, EMEA, and US business hours may be required depending on operational needs. During peak reporting cycles such as quarter-end or year-end, additional hours or shift overlaps may be necessary.
