About the Role

Role: Associate Price Reporter / Price Reporter, Biofuels & Feedstocks

This position supports market coverage of biofuels and feedstocks across the Asia-Pacific region. The role contributes to price assessments, market reporting, and analysis within S&P Global Commodity Insights' biofuels pricing team.

The Team

The APAC biofuels and feedstock pricing group manages key pricing benchmarks across the region. The team collaborates across global markets, providing pricing data, analytics, and market news to customers in more than 150 countries.

The Impact

The role focuses on strengthening biofuel market coverage and supporting the development of price assessments. The selected candidate will help expand reporting and analysis for a rapidly evolving sector within the energy and commodities industry.

What You Will Do

  • Lead market coverage of biofuels from Gurgaon by reporting on daily physical trading activity, including bids, offers, and relevant market information.
  • Build and maintain a database of industry contacts and identify additional contributors for the pricing assessment process.
  • Develop professional relationships with market participants and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing methodology and assist with launching new price assessments.
  • Prepare daily and weekly market commentaries and explain price movements through assessment rationale.
  • Support coverage of additional biofuels and feedstocks markets when required.
  • Create news content and multimedia coverage related to the markets.
  • Represent S&P Global Commodity Insights at industry events and meetings to increase market adoption.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including commercial, analytics, and news units.

Basic Qualifications

  • Exposure to biofuels, feedstocks, agriculture markets, or similar commodity sectors.
  • Strong numerical ability with practical use of basic mathematical functions in Excel.
  • Clear communication and writing ability in English.
  • Capability to interact with internal teams and external market participants.
  • Self-driven approach with effective problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of economics and commodity market fundamentals.
  • Experience or familiarity with price or market reporting.
  • Existing industry network within the sector.
  • Additional language skills such as Mandarin or Indonesian are beneficial.
  • Degree in Agronomics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, International Relations, or a related discipline.
