About the Role

This opportunity is within S&P Global’s Private Markets cluster, which focuses on publishing information related to private markets. The analyst works as an in-house specialist and gains exposure to capturing equity and debt funding rounds across alternative asset classes. The role also involves working with global teams and learning industry dynamics related to the attributes of funding rounds while contributing to a collaborative work culture.

The Team

The Private Market Rounds of Funding team operates as a global and diverse group committed to serving S&P clients and maintaining high data quality. The team promotes the principles of education about the funding ecosystem, encouragement of new ideas, and empowerment for long-term professional development in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Data Collection and Verification: Support daily collection and validation of data related to equity and debt funding rounds across various alternative asset classes. Use multiple sources such as regulatory filings, company websites, research materials, and news reports to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Research and Analysis: Conduct detailed research across different sources to gather relevant information and enhance overall data quality.
• Performance Reporting: Maintain accurate daily records of completed tasks through designated reporting tools to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Team Communication: Respond promptly to communication from colleagues, supervisors, and managers, supporting an open and collaborative working environment.
• Technology Adaptation: Show initiative in learning and adopting new tools and technologies that improve data management and reporting efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities to support teamwork.
• Any graduate degree, preferably in communications, finance, or a related discipline.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including night shifts when required.
