About the Role
Microsoft is seeking passionate and talented individuals to join as Research Sciences Interns in Bangalore, India. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside world-class researchers and engineers, contributing to cutting-edge advancements in Artificial Intelligence and related fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and enhance the performance of advanced algorithms on large-scale datasets.
- Develop and implement prototypes of scalable AI systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition solutions from prototype to production.
- Address real-world, large-scale challenges using innovative AI applications.
- Engage with mentors and fellow interns to share findings and contribute to the research community at Microsoft Research India.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in a relevant field.
- Experience publishing academic papers as lead author or significant contributor.
- Participation in top-tier conferences in relevant research domains.

Additional Information
This position is fully on-site in Bangalore, Karnataka, with less than 25% travel. Internships are available year-round, with most starting in the summer. All internships are paid, and visa assistance is provided if required.
