Reconciliation Specialist Job at Genpact (Bengaluru) | ₹6-9 Lakhs

We are looking for a detail-oriented Reconciliation Specialist with strong English communication skills to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries, with a focus on both reconciliation processes and travel and expense reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial statements.
• Audit Travel and Expenses Invoices/claims submitted by employees.
• Collate and report on the T&E activities.
• Compare account balances in the balance sheet with the general ledger and supporting documents.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or errors promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper recording of expenses related to travel and other business activities.
• Utilize tools such as Blackline and Concur to streamline reconciliation processes.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Monitor compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external auditors.
• Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects as needed.
• Exposure to Travel and Expenses Activities.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
• Basic accounting background and taxation knowledge.
• Familiarity with balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience using tools like Blackline and Oracle is required, and good Excel knowledge is a must.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
