Your Opportunity

Join the Pearson operations team supporting candidates and clients during their certification testing journey. The OnVUE Tech Support team acts as an escalation point for global test takers who encounter technical challenges during the OnVUE exam process.

As an Advanced Associate, Customer Service, you will assist candidates through live troubleshooting and perform post‑issue analysis using the Pearson VUE case management system. The role involves interacting directly with test takers, guiding them through basic technical steps, and providing reassurance during the exam experience.

This candidate‑facing role focuses on delivering high‑quality service and ensuring candidates receive clear guidance and support. The team values empathy, continuous feedback, and collaboration to maintain high service standards and improve the testing experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

  • Respond to candidate issues by assessing the situation and taking appropriate actions to reach a resolution using internal processes and sound judgment.
  • Apply established guidelines and procedures while resolving technical or process‑related concerns.
  • Use the internal case management system to track issues, complete tasks, and determine the best solutions while following client policies.
  • Collect relevant information to identify patterns or trends and share insights with internal stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, follow through on commitments, and escalate barriers or challenges when necessary.

Customer Service Delivery

  • Understand test taker expectations and adjust communication style to support each interaction while meeting departmental standards.
  • Provide clear written and verbal guidance to candidates during troubleshooting or when explaining policies and exam procedures.
  • Anticipate candidate needs and address issues that could impact the testing experience.
  • Use active listening and ask relevant questions to understand concerns and provide supportive guidance during stressful situations.
  • Research, analyze, interpret, and accurately document candidate interactions.
  • Approach tasks with a positive attitude and remain adaptable to new challenges or changing requirements.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Basic technical troubleshooting experience is preferred.

  • Comfort working with both technology and collaborative teams.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt as service demands evolve.

  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including evenings or weekends when required.
