Job Description

Join us as a Software Engineer (React & Java) at NatWest Group, where you’ll be part of our Digital X division. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative, customer-focused, and secure digital solutions.

In this role, you will work in a feature team, collaborate with engineers, architects, and business analysts, and develop high-performance software that powers our digital banking experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain customer-centric, secure, and scalable software solutions
  • Produce complex and high-quality software that delivers business value
  • Work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment and operations
  • Collaborate with teams to enhance software engineering capabilities
  • Write, test, and implement working code with best practices in scalability, automation, and performance
  • Engage in DevOps, Agile methodology, and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills Required

  • Strong background in software engineering, software design, and architecture
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with ReactJS, Java, and SQL
  • Proficiency in unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with development/testing tools, bug tracking tools, and wikis
  • Familiarity with DevOps, Agile methodologies, and associated toolsets
  • Ability to solve complex analytical and numerical problems
  • Knowledge of multiple programming languages or low-code toolsets
