Overview
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Tester to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will collaborate with developers, project managers, and other testers to ensure that software applications meet the highest quality standards. This position is ideal for individuals starting their careers in software testing, offering ample growth opportunities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning and Execution: Analyze system specifications, execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and desktop applications, and assist in developing automated test scripts (if applicable).
- Bug Identification and Reporting: Identify and document bugs using tracking tools like Jira or Bugzilla and collaborate with developers to resolve them.
- Quality Assurance Support: Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing, validate fixes, and ensure system operations align with expectations.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed test records, provide regular updates to team leads, and create user guides or training materials as needed.
Educational Requirements
- Batch Eligible: 2023 and 2024 graduates.
- Degree: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fields.
Technical Skills Required
SDLC, STLC, black-box testing, white-box testing, Jira, Bugzilla, Agile, Scrum, basic programming, test management tools.
Preferred Experience
- 0-1 year of experience in software testing (internships or academic projects included).
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum development practices.
Soft Skills
Analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, teamwork
